You may find it spends years sitting in the tool box but as the saying goes "it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it". The handle is of very good quality and the LED is more than sufficient in darkened spaces such as engine bays, crank cases, behind drawers etc. The Led is operated by a small twist of the end and again in reverse to turn it off so it operates as just an extendable magnet, a torch, or both. The only reason I docked a star is because I think the magnet could be stronger (don't get me wrong for its size it is very good) it is not designed for lifting heavy things but it could be better, don't be fooled though it should do everything you require of it.
