However, there was one time when we had an oil spill in the cupboard that ruined the rice, so I decided to buy this container to prevent that from happening again.I chose this container because the cheapest option for rice near me is a 10kg bag from my local Asian supermarket, and this container claims to fit up to 10kg of rice. Initially, I was concerned that it was getting very full near the end of filling it up, but it all fit just fine. The clasp feature on the side seems very sturdy, so hopefully it will keep the rice safe in case of any future spills.I noticed that when completely filled with rice, the container does push out a little from the front and back. This caused the lid to be a bit longer compared to the box when I tried to put it back on. However, I managed to get the lid back on fairly easily, and I believe once I have eaten some of the rice, this issue will resolve itself. As for the mouse scoop, I am not sure if it will fit back in while the container is full.
