Is the cover rainproof?** A: as it stands no as there is a filter on the top that you also lift up to empty it when you don't want to completely empty it **Q: Hi there. Does this come with any filters/bags at all?** A: It comes with one filter, from what I no you can get at least 4 months out of the current filter, after two months just turn it, from what I've read online about it, no bags though. You can buy the filters easy enough. If you use Trixie Litter tray bags, XL: up to 56 × 71 cm, 10 pcs - 4051, they will fit this. Our cat loves hers, she loves having a good old dig about in it. It has cut down on the smell so much thankfully lol. **Q: what depth are the tray sides?** A: 6.5" (14mm) at the front & slopes up to 9.5" (24mm) at the back. Hope that helps~ Mike **Q: Is this suitable for large cats? and also is this a genuine catit box ?as it says catit style in the heading** A: Hi, I have bought this and I have 2 medium sized kittens and 1 large older cat, (she is a 14 year old tall, plump bellied cat and she still has room in it.) It has stickers and labels on from CATIT. This is my second buy of one of these litter boxes. I will be buying again when my 2 needs replacing. Hope this helps. ## Frequently Bought Together - Catit Airsift Jumbo Hooded Cat Litter Pan, Warm Gray/White - Privacy and Easy Access for Cleaning - Ideal for Larger Cat Breeds or Multiple Cat Households - Catit Airsift Dual Action Air Purifier Pad, 2 Pack – Two Media Filter to Keep Litter Box Odors at Bay - 10 Pack Filter Replacement for Catit Litter Boxes Jumbo/Regular/Catit Smartsift Litter Box, Dual Action Air Purifier Pads to Absorb and Fresh Litter Box Odors --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/48070187-catit-airsift-cat-litter-pan-hooded-litter-box-for-indoor](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/48070187-catit-airsift-cat-litter-pan-hooded-litter-box-for-indoor) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
