Almost all metallic paints will be transparent to a point, especially if spread out thinly, try using a darker acrylic basecoat first.In my painting, I've used a medium brown undercoat & only one coat of the Lumiere Gold, working it in small sections, with the brush strokes going in different directions. In the video I've included, this is one coat, again, smaller section & a good even layer will give you the ultimate effect & really, it dries so fast so working on smaller sections is the way to go.I've barely used anything from my pot for the amount of coverage I have on that canvas, I'd say this is well worth the price & this pot will last me a good while.This paint also mixes really well with other acrylic colours to give a soft metallic sheen.I hope you find this review helpful. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality paint. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 31 December 2025* I love this gold paint.
