And how long does it stay hot for ?** A: Yes I think it does, if that's the standard size soup tin. I pre-heat my flask for ten minutes with boiling water and fill it with soup at 6:30am and then I eat the soup at about 1:00pm and its still as hot as it was when I put it in. **Q: Does this Thermos still come supplied with the metal twist-out spoon? or is it the plastic telescope spoon?** A: Yes. The spoon that is very sturdy and works wonder! but the hinges can be difficult to clean so it takes a bit of patience. 5 stars product and I use it every day. Nice size too. **Q: will this size be suitable for both 400g soups and stews? Looking for something for the husband to take to work, he's a lorry driver** A: The flask easily fits a 400g tin of soup and would definitely be suitable to fill with stew. Keeps things at the perfect temperature, would definitely recommend it, the fold up spoon is very handy. **Q: I dropped this flask from a height, is it still safe to use?** A: Yes ## Frequently Bought Together - Thermos SK3000 Food Flask, 470ML, Midnight Blue - Wildkin Kids Ice Packs (4 Packs) for Boys & Girls, Perfect for Daycare & Preschool Slim & Reusable Ice Packs, Keep Lunches Fresh & Cool for School & Travel, Portable Ice Packs for Kids (Butterfly) - MIRA 12 oz Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Kids Water Bottle - Double Walled Cola Shape Thermo - 24 Hours Cold, 12 Hours Hot - Reusable Metal Water Bottle - Leak-Proof Sports Flask - Lemon Yellow --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/47892845-thermos-stainless-king-midnight-blue-food-flask-470ml-9h-hot](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/47892845-thermos-stainless-king-midnight-blue-food-flask-470ml-9h-hot) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
