I stuck it straight on the fridge and it was ready to go in seconds. The pen has a magnetic lid that holds it in place, survives me slamming the door closed. The lid has a built in whiteboard eraser which works fine. The pen itself has a fairly fine tip. I'm a home brewer and got this to track force carbonating in my fridge. It's a great solution. I can also use it to keep track of stocks in the fridge or a freezer too. Update: When the pen is in the lid magnetised to the fridge make sure the nib end is DOWN otherwise the ink moves to the other end of the pen and you can write with and empty nib. Looks ok. Pretty sturdy, good strong magnet. The pen wasn’t great that came with it, dried out fairly quickly but I let the seller know and they sent me two replacements.
