The piping will tend to bow under tension. At this time, I do not feel comfortable installing this stand with two two average day bicycles hanging while near a car. I need sometime with this product to gain my confidence. If you take a close look you will notice the newer carbon bikes with oval top tubes don't fit perfectly in the hooks. Overall this items is functional and a great value. This rack will serve me well for my older bikes. I will seek out another stand for my higher performance bikes. Removed 1 holder and turned the remaining holder vertically and moved it higher up. Was then able to hang the bike vertically. Its works like new with no problem what so ever. Check with the manufacturer if this current model still allows for that. From the photo, I am guessing it will. **Q: Can this be used on a ceiling that is on an angle such as one found in a storage shed?** A: Hello, yes you can but its a little tricky. I recommend you to put it against the edge of the shed. The top and bottom pad are able to tilt so it works with a slight angle ceiling. Put the 2 rod sections together and place the pre assembled bike brackets on where you want.. high or low. I gave it 4 stars because you can tighten the rod too tight and the pole can now.
