Review: Bright and easy to use - My 3 year old loves these! The sparkles really come through. She doesn’t push hard so the deep color that comes with just a bit of pressure is perfect. They are oily and can bleed through paper, so we always put a paper towel under the coloring sheet. Review: These are much cooler than I thought they would be - I figured these were like fancy crayons, but wow, they are so cool. They colored well and blended really nicely. These are not for detail work, but for broad coloring or backgrounds they would be cool. I blended with both my finger and water. Adding more water makes them blend even nicer (but be careful as that can tear thin paper), I use 100 lb cardstock. I feel these will be a nice addition to the watercolor pencils and drawing pens. They have a neat sheen as well, not sure if you can see it in the photo, but it is there. ## Features - COLOR CHANGING - Create bold strokes of color and watch them magically change when you add water. How pointed?** A: Not pointed at all...not for fine detail **Q: Are these washable if in clothes?** A: The Sparkle Watercolor Gel Crayons are not washable. We add notes to all of our product " Washable" if they are washable. You can always use a stain remover and try to get the stain out before washing. **Q: Are these the same as the Color Splash Watercolor Crayons at Michaels?** A: They are like gelatos. They are creamy and they are great on embossed cards. They have a sheen and a sparkle. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bright and easy to use *by C***E on July 26, 2024* My 3 year old loves these! The sparkles really come through. She doesn’t push hard so the deep color that comes with just a bit of pressure is perfect. They are oily and can bleed through paper, so we always put a paper towel under the coloring sheet. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ These are much cooler than I thought they would be *by D***S on September 24, 2018* I figured these were like fancy crayons, but wow, they are so cool. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing colors *by C***L on December 26, 2022* These pens are so neat. They look like crayons but the quality is so much better and the shimmer is beautiful! You can smudge the colors with your fingers for a different effect. My daughter loves them, and I wish I had had those kind of pens when I was a kid! Would definitely recommend! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/4770456-ooly-133-57-sparkle-gel-crayons-set-of-12](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/4770456-ooly-133-57-sparkle-gel-crayons-set-of-12) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
