Review: Brilliant school water bottle - Bought for my daughter who's 6. She absolutely loves the colour and design. She finds it super easy to drink from and easy to open, lock and carry. It doesn't leak when laid down which is a bonus. This is now her go-to school water bottle. This bottle is of a really nice material which feels very sturdy. She dropped it on the pavement when walking to school with only a minor scuff mark. Our old bottle broke due to being dropped. It's easy to wash and dismantle with each section coming apart. We haven't tried it in the dishwasher although the website says it's safe to do so. We've lost so many bottles due to being thrown in the dishwasher, so hopefully this one will survive. The item arrived on time with no issues with collecting from store. ## Features - AWARD-WINNING WATER BOTTLES FOR KIDS - With 3 prestigious design awards under our belt, this ION8 children’s water bottle is the ideal solution for on-the-go hydration. Made with plant biomass materials, it also has a lower melting point, which reduces energy used in manufacturing and recycling. Recyclon is a safe material for food containers. **Q: Can you give me tips on using my ION8 OneTouch bottle?** A: When drinking, you only need to tilt a little, as the spout is positioned to flow perfectly with a minimal tilt. Even a leak-proof bottle can leak if seals are lost or removed. Always check all seals are in place. Spares are readily available. **Q: How much water do I need to be well hydrated?** A: The EU recommends 2 to 2.5 liters of fluids daily for adults, including water from food. Aim for 6-8 glasses of water or other beverages. Individual needs vary based on factors like size, age, activity level, climate, and health status. **Q: How do I clean my ION8?** A: Before use always rinse the water bottle and cap with cool water. After use always rinse in warm water and dish soap only. You can use the dishwasher in the top rack or on a cool wash. Air dry thoroughly before storing and always store with cap off. **Q: How do I care for my ION8 bottle?** A: Do not use brushes or abrasives to scrub, do not freeze when full, do not boil or microwave, do not use for carbonated drinks, do not use in a dishwasher on a very hot wash. Always ensure your leak-proof seals are in place. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recommend *by L***0 on 12 September 2026* Great for my 2 year old twin granddaughters, durable and doesn’t leak , but when open liquid can spill out if knocked over. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant school water bottle *by D***E on 5 March 2026* Bought for my daughter who's 6. Joking... but seriously... it took us a while to discover the wonders of ion8 bottles. They are excellent. Fun designs, easy to clean, easy to drink from, and very hard wearing. I have two bottles for each of my kids. They are a great buy. The smaller size isn't too heavy to carry when full and is perfect for little kids. My son is now 7 and it is still a good size for him. The company is ace and replaced a part free of charge which meant one of the bottles had some extra life. This was a tiny plastic part that prevents leaks. We've found these bottles are so well designed that they don't leak! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/470669229-ion8-kids-water-bottle-leak-proof-350ml-12oz-light-purple](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/470669229-ion8-kids-water-bottle-leak-proof-350ml-12oz-light-purple) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-03*
