**Q: Can the remote be used to control other devices (e.g. tv on/off, blu-ray player controls, etc.)?**
A: When I use my Apple TV remote, it turns off the amp, the Apple TV and the TV.

**Q: Does the tx-sr494 support devices such as my samsung blueray that uses only 2.2 hdcp?  i’m getting an error that this unit does not support 2.2 hdcp.**

A: Hello Annie, yes it is. I would suggest using the CD RCA input port on this receiver to connect the two units together. - MM

**Q: Can you connect a standard microphone to the setup mic port for singing, etc.?**

The setup mic that is on the front panel is only for the calibration microphone to calibrate the speakers. If you are wanting to connect a microphone for singing you would have to attach either a mixer or a karaoke device to the receiver.-JS
