It does its job, stays on through the night, and it's very comfortable. I'm not sure why people complain about the material. It is silky only on the outside but it's not like the inside is harsh. It's still soft and will keep your hair protected. If you're concerned about it then you could always do as I do and just turn it inside out so the silky part is on your hair. It's no big deal and still works the same. My only complaint is the dye does rub off. I hand washed mine when it came but that wasn't enough.
