These sights are well built and installed in about 30 seconds. There's almost no tool marks visible and no evidence of chipped or worn tooling in the finish. 2) The finish is even and well distributed. It appears to be a very well applied black oxide finish and should hold up to years of normal wear and tear. 3) Installation was very quick using the supplied hex key and my existing rails. I was able to feel at ease tightening the dove tails unlike some other products I've purchased online over the years. 4) The flip-up rear is very firm and has no noticeable slop, which to me means it should stay where I need it to when I need it to. 5) The adjustable slide for the rear sight is very snug and has definite resistance and feel for the adjustments being made. All in all I'd say this sight setup is a solid purchase for anyone needing a good set of backups for their rifle. I will definitely pick up more of these as I add to my collection. I have my front sight mounted “backwards” because it would not secure tightly on my top rail, but worked just fine on my right side part of the quad rail. Takes getting used to. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good buy for the money *by A***R on April 26, 2018* These are good quality sights, perfect for a railed AR with a giant scope taking up space on top. They seem to be solid enough steel, and the adjustments work well and hold zero. The mount is solid, has no play, and was obviously measured to fit the rail, unlike another set of these I bought on Amazon that had a large gap between the sight and the mounting bar when tightened on the rail. There is no play in the windage cassette as sometimes there is on cheaper sights. I believe these to be cast steel, so understand they are not an indestructible forged product - they are sturdy enough to take a good drop: I knocked my gun over and it bent one of the protective ears on the front sight, but it did not break the mount and the ear did not snap off - I think that's just about as much resiliency as you can expect from cast steel.
