Review: Sturdy, and they can be composted. - Very sturdy and stiff. No plate holder needed. I haven't used for very wet foods, so I can't say about that. A bit more expensive than regular paper plates. Can go into landcape compost, not a lot of toxins. If they do end up in a landfill, they will turn into dirt, not sit there forever. Regular paper plates will decompose, but they are flimsy, and materials unsafe for compost. Plastic covered paper plates don't decompose well and not safe for compost.

Very sturdy and stiff. No plate holder needed. I haven't used for very wet foods, so I can't say about that. A bit more expensive than regular paper plates. These plates are amazing. They are super thick, sturdy, and stable enough to hold greasy foods without the soak through. On top of that, they are compostable and break down within 90 days. That's however many plates you order less in a landfill. Will be purchasing again.
