The bottom is easily removed to insert a box of tissues, and stays in place with the box inside. I clean it carefully with soft cloths & water or a bit of mild liquid cleaner (e.g., Windex), and after many months of use it looks brand new.

The others were soft and had a tab that went across the bottom. This is far more sturdy (solid plastic) and attractive and has an actual bottom that fits in. It’s weighty enough that the box does not jump at all when you pull out a tissue. I just love it! I’ve ordered this in white, matte grey, and copper rose gold, and I’m thrilled with all of them!
