The 50 Amp version is only for hardwired applications.. Your max charge rate on a 50 amp breaker will be 40 amps assuming you used 6 gauge wire. I'm not an electrician, just sharing what I was told by mine. Rule of thumb is 20% below rated amps on breaker.. **Q: is this compatable with the new mercedes EVs** A: Actually it is. It’s charging my EQS just fine. **Q: Is this compatible qith bmw i4? how fast is the charge?** A: Hi Customer, It can compatible with BMW i4,Gain roughly 37 miles of range per hour. Thanks Autel **Q: Does this charger work on 15 AMP circuit?** A: A 15AMP charge cord should have come with the car. It just plugs into the car and into any house outlet. This charger to be of any value needs a 240 V 40amp is what ours is set to. I’d get a certified Electrician to do the installation WTH he 15AMP cord it took about twelve hours to charge our RAV4 Prime. With this Autotel Charger takes 3hours. And you can eat a record and it’s wifi, yo program it and it tells you when t starts and finishes. I’d get an electrician like I said have your questions answered completely. ## Frequently Bought Together - Autel MaxiCharger Home Smart AI Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger, 50 Amp Level 2 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Enabled EVSE, Indoor/Outdoor Car Charging Station, with in-Body Holster and 25-Foot Premium Cable - Autel RFID Blocking Cards 2 Pack Ev Charger - Lectron Electric Vehicle Charger Nozzle Holster Dock & J-Hook Combo for All J1772 EVs --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/466344448-autel-50a-level-2-ev-charger-240v-hardwired-j1772-wifi](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/466344448-autel-50a-level-2-ev-charger-240v-hardwired-j1772-wifi) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
