The colors all smell pretty good (sometimes artificial scents can be a little "off," especially chocolate, berries, etc.). These all marked nicely. A few colors felt a little runnier than the rainbow colored set that she has. They're a nice add if you have the rainbow colors to give your kids some more options for the coloring book pages. These are lots of fun, and if you don't have the activity books designed to work with these with the perfectly-sized white dot outlines to fill in, highly recommend those as well. A set of these markers and an activity book makes a really fun and different gift for preschoolers.
