The durable, translucent pot lid with strainer shortens boil time - no need to lift the lid to check the boil. A stainless-steel ring embedded in the rim provides stability. **Q: Can this work on an induction stove top**
A: No, if a magnet doesn't stick to the bottom of a pot, that pot won't work on induction stoves.

**Q: Has anyone used the X-pot on a Jetboil?  of course while using the Jetboil pot support.**
A: I have used it with the jetboil pot support, as well as a unbranded msr pocket rocket type stove. Works wonders!

**Q: What's the diameter of the pot aluminium base?**
A: about 6.5 inches

**Q: can these be used on a kitchen stove? Gas or Electric?**
A: No flame can touch the side. My boyfriend used it on a bunsen burner and it worked perfectly. So I would think gas or electric stove should be fine.
