## Description

Atomic Clock? This atomic clock is an extremely accurate timepiece. It can receive the time signal transmitted by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).The NIST broadcasts the time signal (WWVB,60KHz) continuously from Fort Collins, Colorado. This signal can be received anywhere in the continental USA and Canada. It is expected that the signal can reach a distance of over 2,000 miles from the transmitter. This WallarGe atomic clock automatically receives the time signal every day at midnight and makes any required adjustments to the time setting. Simply insert the batteries provided with the clock and it will synchronize to the time set out by the atomic clock in Colorado once the signal is received. The clock includes all 4 time zones. The time and date can easily be set manually for those using the clock outside of North America. Daylight Savings Time on/off option is included. Fashionable sensory design, large LCD digits display and multiple visual angles make it suitable for all occasions: Banks, Schools, Churches, Offices, Livingroom,Bathroom and Kitchen.

Review: Better than expected ... so far. - Aside from being practical, this clock really looks nice. I'm using it as a wall clock and it complements the room. The display is easy to read. It has a wide angle of view, you can even read it from the side. The smaller font date and temperature are even readable from 20 feet. Even in dim light, everything is readable. Upon installing the batteries, within 5 minutes, it synced with the atomic clock. It's within 1 second with my phone clock. The signal is strong and constant. I live in Toronto, Canada, and the clock is located in the basement and also far from the window. The indoor and outdoor temperature sensors are consistent with each other when placed close. The difference is no more than 0.5 degrees. I haven't installed the sensor outside as of this writing. I like that this clock runs on batteries, so no cord that ruins the look. Not to mention that it has low battery warning, for both the clock and the outdoor sensor. The manual is clear and comprehensive. I'm happy I chose this atomic clock among so many. It's definitely 5 stars .. so far. UPDATE: To those who are not getting accurate temperature from the outdoor sensor -- it's location, location, location! Read on ... So, I've installed the sensor outside. I stuck it horizontally under the upper member of the window frame to protect it from the elements. I observed the readings for days. I found that the reading is higher than the actual temperature (based on Weather.com). If the temperature is above freezing, the difference is 2-3 degree C. If it's below that, it gets worse. I was very disappointed, and I wanted to change my rating from 5 to 3 stars. But I thought, maybe it's because of its proximity to the window (which is normally warmer since it's heated by interior of the house), and to the ground (since it's a basement window). So, instead, I hung it on the wire fence, which is 4 feet away from the window (not too far to get good reception) and 4 feet above the ground. And voila, I'm getting the right temperature now ! Or at least, within 0.5 degrees C. Since now it's exposed to the elements, I put tape on all gaps, except for the sensor opening, over which I put a hood. I'm still getting the right temperature. It will get only little sun since it's located in the narrow gap between houses. Still, I will observe the effect during high noon. So, I'm keeping the 5 stars. I hope others will learn from this.

**Q: How often do you need to replace the batteries ?**
A: I've only had this model for 4 months, but the inherent I had before this one lasted over 30 years and new batteries every 3-5 years.

**Q: How do I turn off the alarm?**
A: Under Time Set:  (down Al.On/Off) click to turn on or off the alarm clock.

**Q: The numbers are so light, almost like they're grayed out, so it's hard to see them.  Is there a way to make the numbers darker?**
A: NOPE! No illumination or contrast adjustment settings. It’s like an old classroom calculator. If it’s in the shade, it disappears.

**Q: How close to an outside wall is needed for the clock to receive time radio signal? (East Coast location)**
A: My clock is not hanging near an outside wall. It is on an inside wall facing my front door and large window about ten feet away.

It seems to catch the radio time signal with no issues.
