The fasteners are small, so I had some fumbling getting the white pins inserted, then getting the black pins down into them, then pressing them down ALL the way. But it's not like it took me an hour to assemble; maybe fifteen minutes, including studying the instructions. If you follow the instructions, and press down HARD on the black pins when necessary, you can do it so it will stay together. **Q: Can this be used without the top vertical sorter?** A: There are three separate sorters that can be connected on the right, left, center. You can use any or all three. **Q: What is the dimensions of the box this comes in unassembled?** A: The box mine came in is 13 x 5.5 x 9.25. **Q: How wide are the drawer divider sections and can they be moved/adjusted?** A: The dividers are fixed and cannot be moved. The two side compartments are approximately 3 1/2 inches wide and the large middle compartment is approximately 5 inches wide. All are 8 3/4 inches long.
