Tesa Transparent Insulation Film is a 4m by 1.5m PET film designed for single-pane windows, creating an insulating air cushion that reduces cold air infiltration and condensation. ## Description

Single-pane windows do not live up to modern insulation standards. Yet, they can still be found in many older houses. Especially during winter time, such windows do not only radiate cold air into the room. They also produce condensation on the inside of the window pane that will even freeze if the outside temperature drops below zero. With the Tesa thermo cover you can counteract such problems quickly and easily. Insulation like a 2nd window pane. The Tesa thermo cover is a transparent insulation foil that is able to considerably reduce the cold air radiated by older single pane windows. It works like an insulating air cushion that prevents any direct contact of the inside air with the window pane, being cooled from the outside. The effect is similar to that of a second window pane. Adhesive window insulation. The Tesa thermo cover comes with a double-sided mounting tape for fast and easy attachment of the foil to any window frame. To prepare it for installation you should first place the mounting tape on the rim of the window, then take the foil and fix it on the tape into position. Warm up the air cushion film with a hair dryer to smooth it out and stretch it taut to obtain an even surface without wrinkles. A procedure that takes only a few minutes and add a higher level of insulation to your window. Reducing window pane humidity. With the Tesa thermo cover you do create an air cushion that provides a considerable insulation effect. This will drastically reduce the temperature difference between the cold window pane and the warm inside air. As a result, the annoying condensation effect typical of single-pane windows will disappear. You will also not be faced with ice covering the window and limiting your view. It's almost like having a window with modern double-glazing.

Review: On a gagné en confort et qqs degrés ! - N'ayant pas eu le budget ni le temps l'hiver dernier pour changer nos vieilles fenêtres bois simple vitrage ("pourries"), j'ai acheté ces films de survitrage en attendant de pouvoir mettre du vrai double vitrage . Je suis surprise par l’efficacité de la chose ! déjà on a plus la sensation de "paroi froide", ça empêche les courants d'air qui passaient entre le vieux mastic et la vitre, ce qui nous a fait facilement gagner 2°C dans les pièces. Ça a aussi beaucoup diminué la formation de buée sur les vitres. Ca ne remplace pas un vrai double vitrage certes, mais en attendant ça fait bien son boulot. L'installation est assez facile à mettre en oeuvre même seule. 6 mois que c'est en place et ça n'a pas bougé. Coté esthétique c'est très discret. Ma belle soeur qui habite au Québec utilise ce type de film elle en est contente, c'est grâce à elle que j'ai connu l’existence de ce type de produit. Par contre oui, ça manque de scotch double face !

Les vitres ne s'embuent plus en hiver. Assez facile à utiliser, mais il faut être très prudent et délicat lors de la pose et de la répartition du film, et appliquer le ruban adhésif à 1,5-2 cm du bord intérieur du cadre.

N'ayant pas eu le budget ni le temps l'hiver dernier pour changer nos vieilles fenêtres bois simple vitrage ("pourries"), j'ai acheté ces films de survitrage en attendant de pouvoir mettre du vrai double vitrage . Je suis surprise par l’efficacité de la chose ! déjà on a plus la sensation de "paroi froide", ça empêche les courants d'air qui passaient entre le vieux mastic et la vitre, ce qui nous a fait facilement gagner 2°C dans les pièces. Ça a aussi beaucoup diminué la formation de buée sur les vitres. Ca ne remplace pas un vrai double vitrage certes, mais en attendant ça fait bien son boulot. L'installation est assez facile à mettre en oeuvre même seule. 6 mois que c'est en place et ça n'a pas bougé. Coté esthétique c'est très discret. Ma belle soeur qui habite au Québec utilise ce type de film elle en est contente, c'est grâce à elle que j'ai connu l’existence de ce type de produit. Par contre oui, ça manque de scotch double face !

This is rubish. Very unsatisfied. The double sided tape dost stick at tall and peeling the top is impossible. Don’t waste your money
