I have been bothered recently by one type of small, fast moving flying insect, which I am not at all familiar with. I received this and plugged it in almost three weeks ago, in the heaviest traffic area right next to the kitchen sink and disposal. These pesty little flies seem to be simply laughing at it, flying right up to it but never falling for the bait! I feel as if they are mocking my attempt to get rid of them. I have changed the pad twice already just in case there was anything wrong with the first one. The blue light seems to actually attract them, but only to the area, and not at all to the fly-catching pad. It is cool here in Florida right now... maybe I'll have some success with it when mosquito season comes along, but for now, this has been a total disappointment! It’s now over 4 months later, and my indoor results aren’t any better. So I decided to try it outdoors, on my patio, and the sticky pad was almost completely covered with outdoor insects in two days!! But the unit I still have in my kitchen still has not attracted a single indoor gnat, many of which I can easily see flying around!
