I believe that there are some of the gaskets for sale here on A_Z if someone wanted some spare gaskets or you can purchase a thin silicone sheet and make your own. I personally like the smooth finish and the different colors that are available so that, if the label comes off, I will know which spice is in which container without opening all of them. Well, I will know if I remember what spice I put in them if I remember. Haha. I find the lids easy to open even when my hands are a little slick from cooking oil/grease or a little stiff from cold. The openings are wide enough so that they are easy to fill with different spices from the jars that I use at home. I have not tried to put anything hot or cold in the containers as I feel they are to small for that and they are not insulated to start with.
