Get over it you big babies! It doesn't. I have an allergy to peppermint and other unnatural man-made toxic flavorings and this is perfect! After the first few times the flavor is irrelevant and you get used to it. It cleans and cleans well. I don't wake up after brushing before going to bed with a mouth full of slimy coating on my teeth and bad aftertaste like I did with the other fake flavored toothpastes.
