Powered by 4 D batteries, it integrates with compatible Pawz Away collars and supports multi-pet households, blending discreetly into outdoor spaces for effective, humane pet containment. ## Description Double down on protecting off-limits outdoor areas with the Pawz Away Outdoor Pet Barrier Transmitter. This extra pet barrier is cleverly designed to look like a rock, so you can discretely hide it in your flower beds. The additional pet barrier works like an outdoor pet gate to help keep your dog or cat away from off-limits areas. Customize your backyard setup by choosing to create a wireless or wired boundary area. When you set it up as a wireless outdoor pet barrier, you can adjust the circular boundary range up to 16 feet in diameter, or you can create a custom-shaped barrier using up to 150 feet of boundary wire (sold separately). This extra pet barrier only works if your pet is wearing a compatible Pawz Away Extra Receiver Collar or Yardmax Rechargeable Receiver Collar, sold separately. When your pet approaches the off-limits area while wearing a compatible collar, they will feel a safe but startling static correction that will deter them from lingering in the area. With a little time and training, your dog will learn to stop digging in the garden (and your plants will thank you). ## Features - Outdoor Wireless Barrier Transmitter: This component works with the Pawz Away system to help pets stay away from landscaping, gardens, flowerbeds, pools and other “off limits” areas of your yard; Uses 4 alkaline D batteries (not included) - Safe Static Correction: When your pet enters the pet-free zone, the wireless transmitter sends a correction signal to your pet’s receiver collar and they feel a safe static correction; Protects a circular area up to 16 feet in diameter - Multi-Pet Compatibility: Create a custom barrier using up to 150 feet of boundary wire (sold separately), and protect multiple areas with additional transmitters and receiver collars; Compatible with our Pawz Away, Classic, and Yardmax systems - Protect Your Pet and Your Home: Explore our array of pet-proofing and remote containment systems including indoor, outdoor, in-ground and GPS wireless fences in battery powered and rechargeable, plus training mats and motion activated spray deterrents - Unleash a Lifetime of Joy: Since 1998 we’ve been on a mission to create places and spaces where pets are happy, healthy and safe; Our US-based customer care experts are available to answer your questions by phone, email or chat ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B002GQFRVI | | Best Sellers Rank | #124,602 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) #311 in Dog Wireless Fences | | Brand | PetSafe | | Brand Name | PetSafe | | Color | Tan | | Customer Reviews | 3.7 out of 5 stars 317 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00729849120518 | | Included Components | Transmitter | | Item Type Name | Pet Electronic Training Barrier | | Item Weight | 1.6 pounds | | Manufacturer | Radio Systems Corporation | | Manufacturer Part Number | RFA-378 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 1 Year Limited Warranty | | Material | 100% Polyester | | Material Type | 100% Polyester | | Model Number | RFA-378 | | Style | Collar Only | | Style Name | Collar Only | | Target Species | Cat | | UPC | 729849120518 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** PetSafe - **Color:** Tan - **Global Trade Identification Number:** 00729849120518 - **Item Weight:** 1.6 pounds - **Material:** 100% Polyester - **Style:** Collar Only - **Target Species:** Cat - **UPC:** 729849120518 - **Unit Count:** 1 Count ## Images ![PetSafe Pawz Away Outdoor Pet Barrier Transmitter, Extra Add-A-Barrier for Dogs & Cats - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71BvFjiU4-L.jpg) ![PetSafe Pawz Away Outdoor Pet Barrier Transmitter, Extra Add-A-Barrier for Dogs & Cats - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81AaY-QgPCL.jpg) ![PetSafe Pawz Away Outdoor Pet Barrier Transmitter, Extra Add-A-Barrier for Dogs & Cats - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/816+tOeAeUL.jpg) ![PetSafe Pawz Away Outdoor Pet Barrier Transmitter, Extra Add-A-Barrier for Dogs & Cats - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71m5XlD-NmL.jpg) ![PetSafe Pawz Away Outdoor Pet Barrier Transmitter, Extra Add-A-Barrier for Dogs & Cats - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81b6yFYzqEL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this PetSafe wireless rock work with another PetSafe rock barrier?** A: If you mean that will the collar from the other rock work with another rock, the answer is yes. **Q: The barrier only rock , does it come with the collar? Besides the D batteries needed is that all needed to purchase everything else collar included?** A: Thank you for this question! The barrier only selection for the PetSafe Pawz Away Pet Barriers will include only the barrier, not the necessary receiver collar. To utilize this system you will need both the barrier, and the receiver collar. **Q: I already had the outdoor wireless petsafe containment system. Would this product work with those collars? Or is there a different product that would** A: Thank you for this question! If you have a fully wireless system, there is no barrier that would be compatible with your collars; we do apologize for any inconvenience this causes. So that we can determine what would be compatible with your system, please contact PetSafe® Customer Care directly. **Q: Does this rock comes with the collar? I only need it to mantain my dog away for the entrance door, where he continues to run through, it work?** A: Thank you for your question, Juan! There are two purchasing options for the Outdoor Barrier: Add-a-Barrier and Kit. The Add-a-Barrier is only the barrier rock unit, while the Kit listing includes both the barrier unit and receiver collar to go along with it. ## Frequently Bought Together - PetSafe Pawz Away Outdoor Pet Barrier Transmitter, Extra Add-A-Barrier for Dogs & Cats - PetSafe Pawz Away Outdoor Wireless Pet Barrier, Electric Training System for Cats and Dogs with Receiver Collar - PetSafe Boundary Wire, 150 Foot Spool of Solid Core 20-Gauge Copper Wire, In-Ground Pet Fence Wire, Colors May Vary – from The Parent Company of Invisible Fence Brand --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/4517411-petsafe-pawz-away-outdoor-pet-barrier-transmitter-extra-add-barrier](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/4517411-petsafe-pawz-away-outdoor-pet-barrier-transmitter-extra-add-barrier) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
