Review: It'll do the job - I give it 4.9 Stars. pretty good bayonet, fits CMP .308 SA Garand with a little woble which is accurate, not very sharp but the point of a bayonet is the point, my blade was was bent like two degrees at the guard annoying but not an actual problem, sturdy handle sturdy scabbard, you can put the bayonet in the scabbard left and right handed and it locks tight, I realy like it, its not vintage quality but it'll get the job done if need be, you could probably run it through a couple japanese before it breaks, nice weight, comfertableish grip which isnt neaded for a war instrument but an upside nontheless, and only 40 bucks. if you have an M1 Garand or a Springfeild bolt action get it, it's woth having, and better than buying the real thing for 400 dollars.

**Q: Is the word CHINA in a place it would be hard to spot or is it obviious and just out there?**
A: The word China is right on the blade by the handle on the ones that I have seen from China. They can also have U.S. on the blade by the handle or on the handle itself.

**Q: Does this come unsharpened and chrome?**
A: No it is not chromed. It is not sharp, has an edge, but bayonets  were not made with a sharp cutting edge. GI sharpened them but they were made to tear as much as cut.  Chrome were ceremonial  .

**Q: Did Marines carry this into Peleliu? (1944-45)**
A: This model bayonet was difinitely used in that conflict in one of it various forms.  This bayonet started out its career with a 16-inch blade, atop the M1903/M1903A3 Springfield rifle, which served our GI's in WWI and into WWII.  Most serviceable 16-inch blades were cut down to the 10-inch length and reissued in WWII. However,  the 16-inch version was still used in the Marine Corps at that time. The version that is represented in this Chinese-made reproduction represents the 10-inch bayonet not cut down from the earlier 16-inch version. The bayonet was used on both the M1 Garand and the venerable M1903/M1903A3 Springfield rifles.  The Marine Corps used both the Garand and Springfield rifles in the Peleliu conflict. In fact though, most Marines had never laid their hands on an M1 Garand rifle. For many Marines, they had first experience with the Garand rifle when they picked it up from a dead Marine or Army soldier on the battlefield in the Pacific campaigns of WWII. However, the bayonet was there through it all.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not bad for a replica could be better but can’t expect us government quality from China

I gave it four stars based on the fact it’s a tad out of spec and as a result will not fit flush to the gas block of my m1 . 1/4 inch gap leaves it really shaky but I never intended this to be used I wanted for aesthetic purposes only and that it’ll achieve just fine.. when it arrived it was painted with a thick coat of black I stripped it to bare metal and since it’s stainless steel steps have to be taken to get it to take blue or in my case birch wood Casey aluminum black. Add 75% vinegar 15% hydrogen peroxide and 10% salt bring to almost boiling and let the part soak for a few hours then start applying the black.. you’ll have to repeat steps multiple times carding the build up off with steel wool in between boils .. I’m very pleased with this bayonet feels sturdy takes a edge and fits the roll I intended
