## Description

Our 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Light Cutting Polish+ Wax features a fast-cutting formula that removes small scratches, swirls and defects from gelcoat surfaces. Excellent for boats, personal watercraft and RVs, this marine compound combines a gelcoat polish and a durable wax – you can often polish and wax in one easy step. It is formulated to stay wet for a long time on the polishing pad and on the surface, so you don’t need to stop polishing as often to change pads or apply more material. It also includes a 3M marine wax that leaves a glossy, professional-grade finish that helps protect against weathering. 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Light Cutting Polish + Wax is part of a family of gelcoat finishing products. 3M Perfect-It Boat Wash, 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Heavy Cutting Compound, 3M Perfect-It Gelcoat Medium Cutting Compound + Wax and 3M Perfect-It Boat Wax are all available for every type of boat and RV maintenance. Review: Product is great but more care needs to be taken to ensure it doesn’t spill in transit - We love this product and have ordered it many times, along with other 3M products in this line (Perfect-it Gelcoat). However, for some reason there isn’t a seal on the inside of the lid, as there are for so many liquid products…. This means that unless the seller tapes the lid shut and/or puts the whole thing in a sturdy plastic bag, and then tapes the bag shut, it can easily leak out during shipment. When I cleaned the lid I noticed that the lid itself was slightly faulty - it didn’t click shut evenly on both sides, but even if it had been a perfect lid, it still needed to be taped down at the very least. Luckily we didn’t loose too much of the product, and it didn’t leak through to the outside of the box, possibly damaging surfaces it comes into contact with. We’ve had this issue before with MANY products we use detailing boats. That’s always a risk when something is being shipped to you - most of the time we’ve received this brand they are taped shut. This instance just demonstrates how important that extra step is.

We love this product and have ordered it many times, along with other 3M products in this line (Perfect-it Gelcoat). However, for some reason there isn’t a seal on the inside of the lid, as there are for so many liquid products…. This means that unless the seller tapes the lid shut and/or puts the whole thing in a sturdy plastic bag, and then tapes the bag shut, it can easily leak out during shipment. When I cleaned the lid I noticed that the lid itself was slightly faulty - it didn’t click shut evenly on both sides, but even if it had been a perfect lid, it still needed to be taped down at the very least. Luckily we didn’t loose too much of the product, and it didn’t leak through to the outside of the box, possibly damaging surfaces it comes into contact with. We’ve had this issue before with MANY products we use detailing boats. That’s always a risk when something is being shipped to you - most of the time we’ve received this brand they are taped shut. This instance just demonstrates how important that extra step is.

It shined the colored gel coat on y boat to look just as good as new. My boat had sat in salt water for over 4 years and was highly oxidized. This product was perfect in bringing the original shine back. Absolutely thrilled with the outcome.
