Then I actually read the instructions and began to apply with completely wet skin, sans towel- blotting. Then proceeded to blot the excess lotion off with my towel. It forms/ leaves a strong protective barrier. But my skin feels less silky. Appearance with this method: white and thick (even when I reduced the amount I applied), until I blotted it off. So, I may go back to the method I originally used. Either way I am happy with the quality of this lotion. It's pretty solid. Didn't disappoint. No scent. I work in the culinary industry, and apart from the skin benefits of this formula, a huge perk is not feeling the lotion's slickness drip off of my skin in beads of sweat while busy.
