So, finding the right vitamins seemed like a perfect fit for him when deciding to go into business. He started selling vitamins out of the trunk of his car in 1964 and soon after, in 1969, he started Continental Vitamin Company; it became a life-long passion to establish a supplement company that cares about health. In 1998, he started Superior Source MicroLingual due to his concern about his father’s Parkinson’s condition. “When my father developed Parkinson’s, he already had a heart condition. I realized he had problems swallowing traditional large tablets, which inspired me to find a way to help my dad and others who had similar problems swallowing the vitamins they needed”. “My dad had nitroglycerine tablets which are very small and dissolve instantly and he asked me, “Why can’t you make vitamins like these?”. This was the “ah ha!” moment that started the evolution of instant dissolving tablets, and so Superior Source was born”. “I was also concerned about all the additives and excessive amount of other ingredients found in conventional vitamin tablets. I decided to create a vitamin that was very small and pure where potency isn’t lost in the high acid environment in the stomach”. He started with a B-12 quick dissolving soft-molded tablet and continued to develop an entire line of clean and pure MicroLingual instant dissolve tablets that my dad and others did not have to worry about swallowing. “So here I am 50 plus years later, still passionate and profoundly providing people with vitamin tablets that are easy to take (no water necessary) and are absorbed quickly. Manufacturing Superior Source Vitamins in our family owned facility. I feel extremely fortunate to have many associates that have been here since the beginning. Easy to digest and they dissolve under the tongue. No bad after taste. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Absorption, but don't recommend for under the tongue *by on Reviewed in the United States 18 May 2024* I've tried several brands of iron supplements over the past 1.5 years of trying to increase my ferritin levels (get your ferritin tested instead of iron ladies....my iron was normal but ferritin was very low). This is the first brand that seems to work really well! My ferritin levels increased 12 pts in 6 weeks of taking 1-2 pills per day. Two things to note: I do not hold these under my tongue, because it tastes like you are sucking on a sweetened penny - a really gross metallic taste. But the good news is that absorption seems to be good even if you just swallow the pill. Second thing - since these are made to dissolve under your tongue, they do fall apart a bit in the bottle or a pill case. Just FYI. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get it! *by on Reviewed in the United States 30 October 2025* This iron is very gentle, I’m super sensitive to supplements and to my surprise this iron was easy to take. Iron metallic taste is super mild, no issues there. I take it with my lipsomal C, I have low ferritin so I’m hoping this’ll raise my numbers. Non constipating no gut issues with this iron.Update- it’s been 4 months and my levels went from 13 to 19, slow increase but still an increase. ## Frequently Bought Together - Superior Source Just Women - Iron 25 mg, (Ferrous Fumarate), Under The Tongue Quick Dissolve MicroLingual Tablets, 90 Count, Easily Absorbed, Assists Red Blood Cell Formation, Non-GMO - Superior Source No Shot Methylcobalamin B-12 1,000 mcg - Vitamin B-12 to Support Energy Production, Brain Health & Overall Wellness - Sublingual Tablets for Rapid Absorption - 60 Dissolving Tablets - Superior Source Vitamin D3 5000 IU - Offers Immune System, Brain & Nervous System Support - Aids Calcium Absorption for Teeth & Bone Health - Bariatric Friendly - 100 Sublingual Dissolving Tablets --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/448613635-superior-source-just-women-iron-25-mg-ferrous-fumarate-supplement](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/448613635-superior-source-just-women-iron-25-mg-ferrous-fumarate-supplement) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
