I used it to carry a variety of different "within-reach" critical or repetitive use gear and it offered great performance. From video gear, knives, notebooks, snacks, tools, etc., it's also large enough to secure a pistol and spare mag if that is part of your kit. On the first day of use it became a "must-have" piece of my hiking and tactical gear. On some hikes I added extra bags and equipment holders to the hook & loop and molle slots on the front without issue. It was also easy to readjust to suit what each load of equipment was for the day. Built well, lightweight, adaptable and a bargain, it's a great compact chest rig alone or combined with your backpack. I'd buy it again.
