IR Infrared Night Vision Flashlight 5W 4 Chips 850nm Hunting Torch w' Advanced 18650 Rechargeable Battery - Infrared Light is Invisible to Human Eyes -To be used with Night Vision Device

The flashlight is fine and seems sturdily built. The bad (but could be good) news is that runs on a single 18650 rechargeable Li-Ion battery that does not fit in any common battery recharger. The higher capacity battery is a great idea BUT it requires a physically larger matching charger that is relatively uncommon. AND NO recharger is included with the flashlight! That is unacceptable. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM unless you have a charger that can take the longer and fatter 18650 cell. You can find the specs on line. NO rechargeable flashlight should be allowed to only be sold without the option to buy the needed and relatively uncommon charger!

This IR iluminator is amazingly powerful. I'm using them with Russian 1st gen and an ATN digital night vision devices. Make sure your NVD is compatible with 850nm wavelength. Most NVD are but make sure beforehand. These are very sturdy and have a quality feel to them. I have one mounted on my PASGT helmet for extra close up illumination as well as aiding in further out targets. Works great and looks cool too. I'm looking for a rifle mount option currently and this IR will work great. It comes with a belt clip that can be removed for different mounting applications. Remember folks this is invisible light and is used only with 850nm wavelength night vision devices. When the torch is on you will see a red glow from the diode but no beam of light. This is normal, don't stare at the glow it's not good for your eye's. With a 850nm device you will see a dramatic increase in visibility through the device. These are great accessories for NVD's, a must have and inexpensive.

I took the IR-blocking filter out of my phone camera and then added some exposed color film negative across the lens to block the visible light. This flashlight works great as an IR illuminator. Since I already had a charger for the 18650 lithium cell, I'm happy with my night-vision setup. I'll recommend it to my friends who are considering the camera mods. I did need to re-focus the camera, but the lens focus was adjustable. Some camera lenses cannot be easily adjusted to re-establish good focus.

You can see a red glow when the flashlight is on. Actually that is good, because otherwise, you can't tell when it is on. Possibly not the best idea to show a red glow, if you want your location undetectable. Adds some extra distance to the view in my Gen 2 night vision binoculars, and I can point it where I want it. Not an infrared search beacon, but works well for its size and price. Not sure how long the battery lasts, because I have only had to recharge it once when it was new. Remember... If someone else is also using infrared night vision, this light will be detectable by THEM from quite a long distance away. Does not seem to spook animals however.

Item arrived with a dead battery. Had to spend $13+ to get a charger for the battery before I can even see if this works at all. There were no stickers on the battery to remove, as the copy for this item directs. There was no charger included nor were there directions about which direction the battery goes into the light. There was no real warning in the copy that one would need to have a charger for this type battery, that it wasn't included. I've bought other lights that included better set ups to get up and running fast. Very disappointed.

I got this light a few days ago and have been testing it quite a bit ever since it arrived. It is very bright and easy to use. The quality is high for any priced flashlight, but at this price point this one is amazing. You will not find a better IR flashlight on Amazon for less than $100 or so. A solidly constructed device that has a great beam throw and also spread while used as a flood light. I have a few night vision devices and this is a perfect accessory for very low light use with those.This is the second infrared flashlight I have purchased from M MAKETHEONE. They are a great seller with impressive customer support.

The light works great, however, it would have been five stars if it had a way to charge the battery built in. I already have an 18650 battery charger so I lucked out. Make sure you purchase one if you don't already have one on hand.

Super bright ir light. Really lights up the night when used with my Sony AX700 in night vision. I like the zoom function to focus the light into a small beam. When you zoom with the camera you can focus the light to help brighten that zoomed in on area that's further off keeping the lighting consistent. The battery is different so you'll need a separate charger specific for its size but I found one on amazon that is versatile that will charge its size battery plus others like AA and AAA.

Vu avec une caméra sans filtre infra rouge, on se croit en plein jour.Le seul petit soucis à mon goût est qu'on peut voir à l'oeil nu les 3 petites led rose. Et que la lentille est mal collé, ca se décolle ...Avantage, la pile est fournie, et la pince pour la glisser dans une poche ou autre est assez solide.

Totaler Müll! Die Lampe erzeugt ein minimales rotes Licht, dass man mit bloßem Auge sehen kann! Bei einem Abstand größer 2cm kann weder das menschliche Auge noch eine Kamera das rote Licht wahrnehmen! Getestet mit neuem aufgeladenen Akku in einem komplett abgedunkelten Raum!
