It seriously broke my heart I love them so much! If you haven't worn Rainbow sandals before, PLEASE do not be deterred that they are quite stiff and a bit uncomfortable in the beginning. The leather is made sturdy, but meant to eventually mold exactly to your foot so once you break them in it will feel like you're wearing nothing on your feet! Or just the most comfortable shoe you'll ever own! I broke mine in by getting them just slightly damp and wearing them around the house as much as possible. Do this consistently for a week or so and you'll suddenly be amazed over how comfortable they are. The more you wear them, the more they contour to your feet. My sister in law has had hers for 10+ years and they look new. You can literally buy a pair of Rainbow sandals and they can last a lifetime. I put mine through hell and they put up with everything! My older pair that I lost a shoe with were the exact same color and size as my sister in laws. We would leave them at the door and go to put them back on, but not be able to tell whose was who's. I put her shoes on and immediately new they were hers, because the mold of the shoe was different than mine. I can't live my life without my Rainbows! You will become addicted, I promise! I tried these on in the store before ordering them online. Since the size options are limited, I was expecting these to be slightly larger that what I normally wear. It's about 1/4 of an inch longer than I would like, but when the size range is 7.5-8.5, that is to be expected. I'm right in the middle. Other than that I love these flip flops and I'm excited to break them in. If you've never had rainbows before, they take a little while to break in, but after that they are perfection.
