I cleaned the frames, peeled off the backing, and pressed it along the edge. It sticks well to wood and painted surfaces, and I was able to cut to size with scissors. The perforated holes seem to help ease the door when it closes, so there is less slam and vibration. It also blocks light and wind more than I expected for a simple strip. easy to fit and install but thick enough to make the door difficult to close. filed out the reciever and latchs OK now.
