It has way more than enough power to pick up sand and loose dirt. I recommend buying extra batteries. If u get a full bucket it is light weight and will tip over not a big deal tho. Lights and sounds are cool. The attachments are really cool. The grapple is fun to pick up sticks and small rocks.
