Review: Durable, Spacious, a Pleasure to Use! - I bought this suitcase for a seven-week, multi-country trip to Europe. It was my only suitcase and it held up beautifully! The front opening design is SO much more functional in small European hotel rooms that usually only provide a place for one piece of luggage. I could put this suitcase in a number of places where my husband’s clamshell suitcase wouldn’t fit. We have been home only three days and he has already ordered this suitcase for himself for our next trip. The storage capacity was unexpectedly good! Our trip included a 13-day bicycling trip in Austria, so I not only needed regular clothing but also cycling gear for whatever weather we might encounter in May. I took cycling tights, warm shirts, cool shirts, a rain jacket, a windbreaker, gloves, shoes, small first aid kit, neck gaiter, and my own helmet. Everything but the helmet fit into one large packing cube, and the helmet fit into a corner of the suitcase. (The tour company transported our luggage each day.) I packed plenty of clothing for the remaining 35 days of many kinds of activitie. It fit into two smaller packing cubes. Into the corners and empty spaces of the suitcase I packed two small toiletry kits, another pair of shoes, my own coffee mug, a ball of yarn, knitting needles, a lightweight puffer jacket, and other miscellaneous stuff. This is a lot of detail, but I hope it gives you an idea of the good capacity of this 24” suitcase. The packing cubes definitely helped with organization! I appreciate the apparent durability of this suitcase. We really put it through a lot, including travel on multiple airlines, trains, metros, and buses. When I first got it I was worried that the wheels seemed unprotected and might come off, but there was no such problem. The wheels roll SO smoothly and easily, even on the many uneven surfaces in European cities. Sometimes I would roll it using all four wheels, sometimes it worked better rolling on only two. The telescoping handle feels sturdy and is comfortable to hold. The 24” size made it easier, and lighter, than a larger suitcase to pull onto public transportation. The material of the suitcase and the zipper feels sturdy. By the end of the trip, after a few small souvenir purchases, it was almost over-full, but the zipper still zipped smoothly and held secure. The zipper pull locking mechanism worked well and was easy to use. I couldn’t be more pleased with this suitcase, and my husband is excited to get his own! Highly recommended.

**Q: I am heavily reply on reviews. although i like its design, i need some advice. has someone used this suitcase? tks.**
A: Once in 2018, I was passing by Times Square in New York and saw a Nasdaq advertisement featuring Hanke-branded luggage. Later, I bought one of their suitcases on Amazon to try, and it has been used for more than 3 years without any problem. This time I found their new design and immediately tried it out. As always it did not disappoint me, better quality than Sam's and great value for money. More importantly, I like the new and stylish design, and it does hold more than normal 20" suitcase. Trust me, choose it and you won't be disappointed.

**Q: Is the capacity of this side open luggage be larger than that of ordinary double-opened luggage?**

The capacity of this side open luggage is larger than the traditional suitcase which is open from the middle of it. Because the side opening design does not occupy the inner capacity. Most importantly, it is completely effortless to open or close this travel harside suitcase. Rolls really nicely and the lock is a nice touch. Pretty good carry on luggage for you!

**Q: This suitcase can only be opened from the front, not from the middle aluminum frame?**
A: Dear Customer,
This carry on suitcase is only opened from the front zipper with TSA lock for a vertical packaging as our pictures shown. "Aluminum Frame" means the new fashion rigid frame, and it provides stronger compressive support and impact resistance for the hardside PC case, it can't be opened from the middle aluminum frame to reach the main compartment, it is opened from the front. **Q: How can i change the tsa lock combination?**
A: Dear Customer, 
We are so glad to answer your question. This luggage is built in one-touch TSA lock with 008 lock cylinder, and TSA 008 provides the upgraded safety of opening and closing guarantee, and it is more efficient and convenient to use.
Step 1.Original password is 0-0-0 for new suitcase, press down the button to unlock;
Step 2. There is a small hole on the lock, use a pen to press down the reset Button(the small hole) and turn the Dials to reset new combination;
Step 3.Press the Open Button again, new combination is changed successfully.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Handled everything that was thrown at it

UPDATE: 6/2/2026 We have now put this luggage through the wringer (and the airlines have had a hard go at them too, trust me) and I have to say these are the single best suitcases we have ever owned. Our last trip we took five flights and the airlines did manage to put a a dent in one suitcase's side, where the aluminum runs (see picture), but the case kept everything inside safe and it opens and closes without any issue. I was already able to get the dent out from the inside. We got white so it would stand out on the carousel which means plenty of visible scuffs and scrapes, but who cares? I have found nothing survives airline luggage handlers for long anyway. The photos are to show you how little damage these cases took after eight countries, plenty of cobblestone paths, and numerous luggage handlers. We have transported glass bottles and ceramics in these cases and came home with everything intact. The zippers and the locks continue to work well. The wheels roll along as good as the day we bought the luggage. This past trip I I didn't see a storm drain opening and one wheel went right into it with a full suitcase (46 pounds); if that hard stop isn't going to take a wheel off, I don't think anything will. We now own three- 2 for checked luggage, and one carry-on. I lead overseas trips and rarely recommend luggage (I don't want to be blamed if something fails on a trip) but I have actually been sharing the link to these suitcases with my groups. Previous review: I wanted to wait until we had a major trip before writing a review. We completed a 22-day trip overseas and this luggage handled spectacularly. Here is a breakdown of what we wanted, and how it performed: Hard shell that won't crack or dent- I literally tripped trying to get both mine and my wife's suitcases onto a shinkansen (bullet train) and drove my knee with 190 pounds behind it right into the the center of one suitcase. Nothing. No damage at all. Wheels that move and don't break- Japan has yellow raised textures on the sidewalks for the visually impaired throughout the cities, it can can play merry havoc with suitcase wheels. These wheels danced right over them and always stayed on track. On smooth surfaces the suitcases felt like they were floating. Side note: Put the suitcase on its side when on a train or hill, if you cannot hold on to it or lock a wheel in with your foot, the suitcase will take off on you! Zipper: So far, so good. Easy to use, didn't get stuck, and didn't come open. Lock and zipper pull-tabs: the built in lock is nice, but I know just how rough airlines are, almost all of my past suitcases have had zipper tabs ripped off. I used a suitcase cover to ensure these were protected. I wish the company had a little bump-out on either side of the zipper lock so that the zipper pulls would be better protected, but we had no issues. FRONT OPENING!!: This was a really big deal for us. We wanted hard shell, but I hate the clam-shell designs that are everywhere. Hanke got it! It worked perfectly. So happy with how this functioned. We had a Delsey, front opening suitcase, and the zipper really could not handle the corners, just not a good design. The zippers failed too quickly, which was a shame, because otherwise Delsey makes a good bag. Handle: So comfortable and easy to adjust. I like a recessed button so that I am not constantly changing the handle height accidentally (looking at you Samsonite). Size: We got the 26-inch and thought it was overkill, but we wanted a slightly larger checked bag because there is no option to expand this suitcase. We left for Japan with half-empty bags, and they were packed when we came home. It was relaxing not worrying about organizing and space for the return, we just shoved everything in, and still came in under weight. Again, it was a longer trip, and we picked up some nice ceramics on our travels (nothing broke on the way home, the hard-shell did its job!) but maybe a smaller one for week-long trips. Hard-shell and color: Let's face it, white is going to show everything, but I'd rather be able to pick my suitcase out at luggage return and the suitcase covers not only protected the zipper pulls, but kept the scuff marks off the luggage. The luggage was strong! Very strong. Overall: I have to say, with a few domestic trips, and its first international under its belt, these suitcases have proven to be the best we have had in ages. At this price-point, I have not had anything perform as well- and I have gone through a few! I have been so frustrated with wheels that don't track, handles that break, zippers that fail, or soft-shells that look like box cutters were taken to them during loading. Let's put it this way, even if the wheels had broken off, I would buy this suitcase again. We brutalized the luggage this trip, and it took it all. I fully expected something to break at some point, just the fact that it didn't has made me a fan.
