Review: Love this! Would buy again! - I've been using this silicone non-slip pet bowl mat under my cat's food bowls and water fountain for a few weeks, and I absolutely love it! It keeps the fountain steady and effectively contains any food that my cat might toss from his bowls. The mat is easy to wipe clean and manages spills very well. It stays firmly in place on the carpet, preventing any slipping or shifting of the bowls. My cat took to his food and water station immediately after we set it up, even though it was new to him after our recent move. The mat feels thick and durable enough to withstand a claw poke. I would definitely buy it again if needed, but its quality is so good that I probably won’t have to.
Review: Love it - First of all I just bought this and received it about 3:00 a.m. this morning let me just say it is not water absorbent at all but it holds water from getting on your floor anywhere else because it has raised edges. The ease of use is unbelievable first of all when it gets Grime on it you can just wipe it up with a wet cloth or you can literally roll this up and fold it and take it to the sink to rinse it off makes it sound like it's not durable right? No it is extremely durable it's works surprisingly well. What I mean by that is I was using potty mats because my dog is getting so old that he now has dementia and he doesn't drink he hasn't drank anything in 4 months because he forgets he has to. So I have to make his food homemade so that I can add water to it kind of like slop I hate to say that but because I have to do so you can imagine it gets everywhere and I was hating the look of those potty mats and not to mention I could have bought this by the time I paid for two packs of potty mats. So when I'm realized that this came rolled up and folded I was not happy till I realized how durable it is how washable it is and how easy it is when it has slop all over it to roll it up and Fold It Up carry it to the sink and not make a mess anywhere in doing so! Therefore I absolutely love this thing! It is saving me money it's extremely durable I am one happy camper! Also I bought a color that would match my living room furniture because that's where he has to be when he eats because he will forget to finish eating unless I get up to the bowl and stir it I need to keep my eye on him he is surprisingly healthy now since I started doing this thank God. A: Simply get a roll of rubber shelf-liner or non-skid rug under liner. Rubbermaid makes the self-liner, which is thinner than the non-skid rug under liner. Several makers for the non-skid rug, & you can cut them to any size & shape. Place it under the bowl, spill-proof mat/tray, or anything you don't want to slip, skid, or slide. The ones for rugs are thicker & grip better. They're both easy to rinse-off, but they will need to be hung or draped over something to dry. Enough rubber matting comes on the rolls of each to make additional mats to use while the rinsed ones dry. You can find these items on AMAZON.

**Q: Will this mat allow condensation to develop between it and the floor under the water container? We have a slab foundation if it matters.**
A: I have mine on my bedroom carpet. I have not found any condensation under the mat when I move it. I also put a paper towel down under the bowl and when my dog dribbles the mat dries quickly. Hope that helped somewhat

I've been using this silicone non-slip pet bowl mat under my cat's food bowls and water fountain for a few weeks, and I absolutely love it! It keeps the fountain steady and effectively contains any food that my cat might toss from his bowls. The mat is easy to wipe clean and manages spills very well. It stays firmly in place on the carpet, preventing any slipping or shifting of the bowls. This was a gift for my daughter, or really for her cat... She has a very messy cat, Scout, and I already have one of these for my messy feline, so I bought this for Scout to make as much mess as she likes since the raised edges keep it on the mat (well, mostly). I have had mine for many years, and it has held up well. I am starting to feel little raised dots, I believe that's where the claws are wearing through the silicone. But it's been years!!! This one matches my daughter's brown tile. It's actually quite a good match. It's very easy to wash and protects the floor from any spills or messes. It does not move around the floor, even when she puts it on her wood floor. The price is comparable to other mats. I will continue to purchase these as they wear out, or my decor changes. Probably the latter as they seem to last a long time.
