Oh and DX5 uses buttons to change stitch length whereas the DX7 uses a dial. All other specs, stitch speed, motor, etc are the same. After comparing both for some time I went with the DX5, because 185 stitches is already more than Iโ€™ll ever use for garments or quilting, and I like buttons. The quilting table would be nice but can be purchased separately. The DX5 is by far the most amazing machine Iโ€™ve ever sewn on, and a year in I highly recommend it! **Q: Where is this model manufactured?** A: This model was made in Vietnam. **Q: Free motion regulated stitches capable?** A: Stitches are regulated by how fast or slow you move the fabric.
