A: Yes, it can be used as a back massager too, but it's a little awkward like that.  The cord attached and the two separate places for feet make it hard to get a good back massage position, but it is doable.

A: Well, I live in a basement, and it's on carpeting when I use it. It must be quite quiet as I often forget I'm using it.

Edit: It looks like the support options through Amazon are not properly set up. Contacting the warranty/support team directly resulted in a satisfactory resolution. The item still partially broke down fast so taking 1 star off. Otherwise decent massager for decent price, and apparently decent support once you manage to actually reach them. -------- Heat function broke down within a few hours of use over a few weeks. No it's not the cool off, it doesn't work. Support is useless.
