I know, I know... but, the tank was new and I was more concerned that it would overflow or the power would cut off and everything would die when we were away. The camera itself is great - much smaller in size than I was expecting. The image quality is perfect and it paired immediately upon plugging it in. All of the Ubiquiti products I have in my house have far exceeded my expectations with very few if any issues. Review: Makes for a great baby monitor - I bought one of these to use as a baby monitor, and I have been very happy with the performance and value. The wifi connectivity and usb-c power means I can use it anywhere with a battery pack. ## Features - For remote surveillance needs, this network camera is best suited - Up to 2688 x 1512 video resolution - CMOS sensor is cheaper as compare to CCD and consumes less power while producing better HD videos - 2.80 mm maximum focal length provides incredible detail and how effective is your network camera - f/1.6 maximum aperture for better light absorption and dependable, better-quality results - Up to 20 ft of night vision - 2K recording format for exceptional video quality with maximum productivity - Infrared night vision type consumes very little electrical power and provides evidentiary quality night-time surveillance video - Fixed lens type effectively compensates for changes in the level of light by adjusting the exposure time or using gain - DC power source type for your network camera provides maximum energy feasibility and added surveillance productivity ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09YN7SXYV | | Best Sellers Rank | #381 in Dome Surveillance Cameras | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars (251) | | Date First Available | April 23, 2022 | | Item Package Quantity | 1 | | Item Weight | 1.1 pounds | | Item model number | UVC-G4-INS | | Manufacturer | Ubiquiti Networks | | Part Number | UVC-G4-INS-US | | Power Source | Plug-and-play | | Product Dimensions | 2.6 x 2.6 x 2.9 inches | | Size | 1 Count (Pack of 1) | | Special Features | HD Resolution | | Style | Sleek and Modern | | Warranty Description | Information Not Available | | Wattage | 3.5 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Ubiquiti Networks - **Connectivity Technology:** Wireless - **Model Name:** UVC-G4-INS-US - **Recommended Uses For Product:** Outdoor Security - **Special Feature:** HD Resolution ## Images ![Ubiquiti UniFi UVC-G4-INS 5 Megapixel Indoor 2K Network Camera - Color - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51bQdyzuTVL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another great Ubiquiti product *by K***H on January 30, 2025* I bought this camera to watch my fish tank when we were on vacation. The wifi connectivity and usb-c power means I can use it anywhere with a battery pack. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceeded expectations *by N***E on January 5, 2025* I got a great black Friday deal on this, about $30 less than regular price. It is my first security camera and so my first unifi and I am very happy with it. Running it from inside facing out a window, it included the option to disable IR which made this possible as otherwise all you would see is the reflection of the glass. It has great video quality and very simply to set since it is a wi-fi camera. Using with a UDM-SE and this with unifi-Protect has turned out to be a great experinced for my first steps into survailance systems. ## Frequently Bought Together - Ubiquiti UniFi G4 5 Megapixel 2K Network Camera - Color - Ubiquiti G5 Turret Ultra (UVC-G5-Turret-Ultra) - Ubiquiti Networks G4 Doorbell Pro --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/433054630-ubiquiti-unifi-uvc-g4-ins-5-megapixel-indoor-2k-network](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/433054630-ubiquiti-unifi-uvc-g4-ins-5-megapixel-indoor-2k-network) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
