First rate replacement grips for Walther PP
This product is designed to provide excellent all around grip without using adhesives. Other reviews suggest installation can be a potential challenge. Some of those reviews provide helpful installation suggestions. I was able to perform the installation on a 1971 vintage .380 PP without using tools other than a slotted screwdriver, though I am over 60 and no Hercules. Removal of the Pachmayr grips and reinstallation of the originals should be clean and easy in the unlikely event I decide to part with this firearm in future or otherwise wish to return it to original trim. The grip texture felt a bit rough at first, but I became used to the feel in one range session. Fit of the Pachmayr gripped PP was very comfortable in my small-medium sized male hand. Discrete thumb rests built into both sides of the grip further stabilize hold. Although I am right handed, it seems to me that they should work equally well for left handed shooting. In combination with the rest inertia of this all-steel pistol, the grips made managing what I have often read described as an overly "snappy" .380 pistol easy.If you would like to improve control of your fine PP or PPK/S single-stack CCW easily and inexpensively, then I recommend you try a set of these grips. Cost to me through Amazon Warehouse was under $20. If I succeed in acquiring a .32 PP as mate to my .380, I plan to equip it with Pachmayr grips, too.

Nice Grips ... Difficult to Install
The other reviews say it all. These are nice grips, but they were very difficult to install. The screw is too short and instructions are not detailed enough. The grips and the backstrap are notched to match the frame of the gun and everything has to be in place to get the screw to line up and "catch" to secure them. So far, so good on them staying in place. We put about 50 rounds through the gun at the range and the grips are still in place. One reviewer said the area below the trigger guard is too high to disassemble the gun for cleaning. I haven't tried to clean the gun yet, so I can't attest to that either way.

I would love these grips if they just fit properly
My PPK/S met all of the requirements for these Pachmayr grips (serial #, etc.), however, it was so tight to get on, that I had to leave the small rear cover off because it was simply impossible to get the grips on with it....and once I got the grips on, and went to shoot the first time, the grips split down the middle. I had to remove them and put the original grips back on. Of course by the time I went shooting and experienced the failure, I was outside the 30 day return window.I would love these grips if they just fit properly. Be careful....still not sure why they didn't fit my gun, but after 2 hours of working on them, I got them on and then they failed....very frustrating! I am afraid to try another pair of the Pachmayrs on this gun....

Difficult to install and doesn't improve grip
Not going to rehash other reviews but I completely agree that the grips are very difficult to install and that the grip adds too much girth to the grip itself. The irony is that I'm buying this product to "enhance" my grip when in fact, it makes it even worse.1. The installation can be done with the factory grip screw but it's somewhat time-consuming the first time. I just happen to have a similar screw of longer length and it worked fine for me as well. Why Pachmayr doesn't include a $.01 screw is beyond me.2. The rubber grip feels pretty good at first but then you realize that the PPK has gone from S to 4XL after adding the new grips. It makes CCW virtually impossible. The beauty of the PPK is its CCW attributes. After a day or so I went back to the original PPK panels. I sure appreciate them a lot more after this Pachmayr disappointment.PS. A simple suggestion to Pachmayr -- how about thin, rubberized panels -- instead of the wraparound..?

Great item...once you get it installed
I purchased this for my S&W PPK/S .32ACP. I'm not a fan of plastic grips and wanted a quality rubber replacement. This fits the bill and I'm very happy with it, now that I have it installed.I'm confident that this grip is impossible to install without modification (yuck) or acquiring a longer screw, which I did. The screw you remove from the stock grips doesn't even come close to working with the Pachmayr grip. I had read about this on other non-Amazon reviews and they were proven correct. I did NOT want to do any drilling or modifications of the grip itself, so I went down to my local ACE hardware store and found a hex screw almost identical to the stock one, but just a tiny bit longer. Perfect! Now this grip is a permanent part of my gun.Note that this grip adds significant bulk. Thus, if the gun feels good in your hands with the stock grip, it may be too bulky with the addition of this grip. However, if you have bigger hands like me and could stand some more girth to the grip, this is great. If you don't want the extra bulk, you'll probably have to go with a universal grip like this: Hogue® Handall Jr. Universal Rubber Sleeve With Finger Grooves. I didn't go with the universal grip because 1) it seems to be just a cheap sleeve, and 2) I understand it's a pain to get on and off.Anyway, if you can get a replacement (longer) screw, then this is a great grip. Hope this helps.

Sweet Grips for PPK/s
Excellent grips. All you need to do is install the wrap-around, wait a few days, then remove wrap-around and install rear strap, then reinstall wrap-around. Simple. For S&W PPK/s, they fit like a glove on my large hands.

It did not fit.
The grip appears to be well made but it does not, by any means, fit the 2013 model Walther PPK/S (New Generation S&W).
