I would hand shred or use my hand mixer to shred my chicken. I hate hand shredding and shredding with my hand mixer makes a huge mess. I love this gadget and it’s easy to use and a great price. I also just throw it in the dishwasher! I will say it’s easiest to use when your chicken is hot. If it’s colder chicken, it’s a little harder to move the gadget around.
