They are quite clear and sliding in cards (with their penny sleeves on, of course!) is quite easy. I then slide the toploader into a toploader binder for ultimate protection. A few of these do come with a bit of debris inside (tiny particles of plastic), but I just fish those out with an empty penny sleeve.
