Review: Great product, easy to use and effective - This is a light bulb, which happens to be just a light bulb, right? Wrong. It's an Alexa lightbulb, I love these as I work shifts and come home early hours of the morning. I just Alexa to turn on the house lights and I'm not fumbling around with work bags in the dark trying to find the light switch. So, I have a few of them. The annoying thing with Alexa bulbs is some of them emit a low hum, which is annoying to say the least. But these are Phillips, so a reliable manufacturer who knows one end of a light bulb from another. They don't hum at all and are well constructed. Easy to link in with your wi-fi/Alexa and work brilliantly. There is a dimmer function as standard so you can dim the lights to whatever brightness you want. Great product that works well.
Review: Ideal for both living room and bedroom lamps - Having used Philips Hue bulbs before in the living room, I decided to get some more for my new bedside lamps. The warm white colour is perfect for relaxing evenings at home. It isn't the brightest, but two bulbs either side of the bed is enough to suitably light the room. The bulbs are connected to my Home Assistant setup though Zigbee. They respond instantly to commands through the Home Assiatant app and the connected smart speakers. For a small amount of time I controlled them directly from my phone with bluetooth, but it wasn't always reliable and not as easy to control. The bulbs definitely work best when paired with the Hue bridge or another Zigbee-capable bridge.

**Q: Is warm white possible? Aka light orange**
A: Yes it is .

**Q: Can you set these to gradually come on over time for a sunrise alarm?**
A: There is a sunrise setting in the app and I tried it. The problem is the dimmest setting on the bulb is still quite bright compared to complete darkness. This immediately woke my wife up and annoyed her, so to stay out of trouble I’ve never used it again. If it doesn’t immediately wake you up, then it will gradually increase over time to full brightness.

**Q: Can these be used in two wall lights connected in the same switch?**
A: Yes, and you can turn either one off and on individually as long as you've used the app to do it when they were on originally.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good and expensive

Painfully expensive, but the ‘warm white’ is warm white. Something other brands cannot seem to manage. Wish the colour version wasn’t twice the price again - insane but to be fair they are the best. I have tried about 6 different brands and they are just better. So if you can stomach the cost then you won’t regret it or be disappointed in my experience. Never had one die in 2 years with hue products so no indication of lifespan yet. Works perfect with Alexa, HA, and hue app is decent.
