Review: High quality - Very easy to install considering I’ve never done this before. Had to redo some very old CAT5 keystones (wire was 5E) from 23 years ago. I noticed my speeds were capped under 100mbps. Threw these on each end and can now reach 1000mbps most likely — my down and up speed is throttled at 300mbps, but I’m getting the same speeds using these connectors and dozens of feet of 23 years old Cat5e wire as I am plugging my machine straight into the router with a cat6 cable. So yeah I’d say they work well!

Very easy to install considering I’ve never done this before. Had to redo some very old CAT5 keystones (wire was 5E) from 23 years ago. I noticed my speeds were capped under 100mbps. I needed to get ethernet from my trailer back to my she shed where my wife quilts. I tried just using a WiFi extender but that did not work well trying to get a signal from my Airstream back to the shed. So, I drilled a hole in the metal frame around the screen inside of my window, installed a rubber grommet and passed a piece of ethernet through, attaching one of these surface mounts to my inside wall and the other lays inside my window. I connected a piece of ethernet to the inside to my router, and a piece outside to a box I installed on the ground outside my window that runs ethernet in conduit back to my shed. I then connected the ethernet to an access point in the shed and she now has a connect and good as if she were right next to the router.
