Review: Lightweight but sturdy - Beautiful wood. Had a woody "fragrance" at first, and when I washed and dried it with a clean towel, some "orange-ish" color came off onto the towel. I'm hoping this is all normal for teak. I've been using it for over a month and love it. It is a slightly giving wood, so it's easier on my knives than my bamboo boards. My husband has a heavy hand when he draws a knife through his fruits on it, and has left many long scratches already. But I don't care! Pretty much any surface will do that, and this one is a cinch to lift and clean or transfer food to the cooktop or plates. It's thick enough not to warp like my bamboo boards, but thin enough to maneuver with ease.

**Q: I owned the 24"x18"x1.5" and it was too big for my apartment kitchen.  Is this board comparable to the larger board's quality?**
A: Yes. I have owned this board for 6 months, and I am very pleased with its quality and feel like it is the perfect size.  Plenty of space to cut but easier to handle as far as washing in the sink.

**Q: does the 20" x 15" 1-1/2" have hand grips? I know the 24" does**
A: Yes it does, and I am in love with this cutting board, it sits on my countertop all the time.  I never put it away

**Q: The colors vary greatly in photos.  Is it yellow-ish like the photo you post or darker/more brown? Thanks!**
A: I have 2 boards. One w/juice grooves, one w/o.  The boards are fabricated from pieces of wood glued together to form a larger surface.  The strips vary in color from yellow-ish to brown.  No 2 boards are exactly alike. Inevitably, you will have a multi-colored surface.  Oiling the wood regularly keeps the color more vivid and prolongs the life of your board.

**Q: Conflicting description - one says from teak grown on plantations on Mexico's Pacific coast, and the other lists Vietnam as country of origin.**
A: Thank you for your inquiry, and interest in our item. Our teak is grown on Mexico's Pacific Coast and then is shipped to Vietnam to be shaped into our cutting boards.  We run a fully sustainable business and produce furniture and decking from the main logs and then whatever is left is made into our cutting boards! The information listed is correct. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gorgeous but has knots

This is a beautiful piece of wood. Very hard to unpack. Had to cut box all the way because so tight, then cautiously cut film. If you are good with a box cutter, fine. If not, be careful. My concern is 3 significant knots where bacteria can insert itself. I'll get food quality epoxy for safety reasons. This brings me to wondering why they would compromise the product. Easy to repair but should have been offered for sale ready to use.
