I notice it is only described as 4-1/2 x 7/8. Pls help. Tks** A: Yes. 41/2 diameter x 1/4" thick with a 7/8" hole ( bore) **Q: Is there an adapter to use on a 5/8 inch grinder** A: should use same arbor back flange and securing nut as an ordinary grinding wheel without threaded arbor, usually comes with grinder **Q: I want to shave a door down about 3/8 inch. Would this work for the job?** A: mostly, this is used for grinding metals. To cut 3/8" wood, you need a saw not a grinder. Thanks **Q: OK for glazed tile?** A: I think it you used it with a variable speed grinder at the slowest speed it would work for cleaning up the edges. For glass I just use a random orbital electric sander with 100 grit, since glaze is essentially glass, I would use caution on a rough grit. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for grinding off bad welds *by on Reviewed in the United States 20 October 2026* Ground off old welds I had been trying to flap wheel off for 2 hours already in just minutes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good quality *by on Reviewed in Canada 10 May 2021* nice thread on feature is good for me for a big project where I only have one angle grinder. good quality and lasted a long time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Grinding wheel *by on Reviewed in Canada 7 February 2020* Cuts very well --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/426457073-dewalt-dw8311-4-1-2-inch-by-5-8-inch](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/426457073-dewalt-dw8311-4-1-2-inch-by-5-8-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
