It will NOT keep your medication as cold as a refrigerator. It will keep your medication cool (not cold) and safely between 64.4F and 78.8F for a MINIMUM of 45 hours in temperatures of 100F. All insulin (including pet insulin) can travel at or below room temperature for a period of time. The length of time that your medication can be kept safely inside of an activated FRIO® can be found in section 16 of your medication's FULL PRESCRIBING INFORMATION. This is called the allowable excursion temperature. If the excursion temperature is not listed on the FULL PRESCRIBING INFORMATION, phone the manufacturer and ask how long the medication can travel at room temperature (and safely inside of an activated FRIO®). So well I’m going to give it to my girlfriend for her mother in Colombia. I’ll buy another. I charged it when I left for the trip and twice more here in Europe. It’s kept my meds cool throughout the trip. It’s left in a suitcase in the back of a rental car. It’s been warm in Europe this year. I put two vials of insulin and one Ozempic pen in the cooler.
