Review: Nice Brush - This is my 3rd shaving brush I still have my other 2 a Dovo Silver Tip very high quality soft with micarta type head that has a flat spot ground on it so you can lay it down on the side without it rolling away. A Merkur Futur Brush came with their Adjustable razor with snap on top. How this brush compares. 1. Quality seems good and and it has a lot of bristles. The bristles seems a bit stiff but in this case seems to be a good thing for working up lather quicker, compared to my Dovo brush which is a bit softer and has more of a fuller bulb shape to the bristles. The quality of the bristles seems pretty high comparable to the Dovo brush just a tad different shape and a slightly stiffer. The base of this chromed brush matches the R89 Twist and Grand screw razor pattern nicely and has a hefty feel to it. The chrome finish seems similar to the razors which still look like new after 7yrs so I hope the brush will last as long as well. Of my 3 brushes the Futur set brush I like the least. As for traveling I suppose you could pack this brush but it is a bit hefty therefore I prefer to take my Dovo along in the travel bag and leave this one at home. It is expensive but does hold lather and works well which I would expect at this price point.
