A: It will continue to run as long as you are wearing it.  You would need to remain totally still for it to run down .

A: No, it's stainless steel with a gold finish. Real gold would cost thousands more. This is a fun cheap watch. The finish will last a few years if you're careful. It will eventually wear off. Being automatic you won't spend money on batteries.

**Q: How big is it?  I am a small boned woman, would it look ridiculous on me?**
A: It is a big watch.  And I returned it because it did not run. Buyer beware.
