It slides perfectly inside my bedroom closet. For the small size, it's sturdy when set up. The padding is substantial, thick and ironing is smooth. My only complaint is the iron holder/rack. It is pretty small and would work for an older iron, but if you have a larger modern iron, the rack is not functional (could even be dangerous). Unfortunately, the iron rack is not removable, but I was able to use it to hang a few hangers with freshly ironed clothes, so it can have a purpose.
