I was very reluctant to buy a plastic recorder (I have had wooden ones in the past), but the quality and tone are just what I needed for my beginners group. I am happy with it and it arrived very quickly.

In contrast to the brown plastic one it has a very open, clear tone, while the other has a reedier one with more vibrato. Very easy to play, especially the low notes.
